Coffee? Why not!


Gentlemen like coffee. Hard workers like coffee. Those who work in the evening like coffee. It seems that coffee is one of the most favorite beverages. Why? One of the best reasons is that people believe that coffee can make us stay awake. That might be true.

However, they might forget that coffee is not really good for them. In fact, coffee has no real nutritional value! If you want to have the nutritional, then you must add cream or milk to it. In short, coffee doesn’t have any harmful aspects. However, the caffeine in coffee can cause some problems.

Coffee raises stress level. Is it something new? Caffeine in coffee stimulates adrenal glands. Adrenal Glands increase someone’s stress level for up to 18 hours. That is why if a person works in stressful environment, he is not recommend that he consume coffee. Why? Drinking coffee can increase anxiety, which in turn can include a plethora or other conditions.

Also, coffee increases risk of heart attack. Coffee contains a compound called terpenoid, which is known to increase cholesterol levels. Even though it is still a controversy among scientists, some scientists believe that coffee plays a role in increasing the risk of heart attack.

Caffeine is addictive. Just like drugs, once a person is addicted, quiting can result in withdrawal symptoms such as constipation, depression, drowsiness, headaches, and loss of appetite, possible nausea and vomiting.

Another advantage from drinking coffee is it makes the addicts grow older faster than those who are not addicts. Coffee is known to reduce the production of DHEA and other anti aging hormones. So, if you drink coffee to look mature, you have to think it again.

You might have heard that coffee could make have bad breath. Some people always drink coffee always smell like coffee.

Some reports claim that coffee can include stomach ulcers and impair digestion by raising stomach acidity levels. Some also experience heartburn but there is no proof directly linking any of the aforementioned problems to coffee. Regardless, many individuals experience stomach problems after drinking coffee. And decaffeinated brews have the same effect as regular blends in that regard.

Last but not least, don’t get shocked, readers, consuming too much caffeine can cause sterility. It reduces sperm count levels. Also, it is believed to case defective sperm. That’s why, a couple having trouble getting pregnant might want to cut down on their caffeine intake.

In addition to the negative sides, coffee has the positive sides. People usually focus on these positive sides. However, we must remember that the positive sides will be worthless if we look at the negative ones.

The first positive side of coffee is that it prevents prostate cancer. Hurray, coffee can lower the risk of prostate cancer. Studies are still preliminary, but scientists have found a link between that particular cancer and boron – a nutrient found in coffee. Studies also have shown that man who consume a lot of boron are 64% less likely to develop prostate cancer. (You can also find boron in wine and almonds).

Next, coffee is an excellent stimulant. Despites all its disadvantages, coffee is still the most popular “upper” on the market. Whether burning the midnight oil at work or cramming for final exams, coffee has saved men on numerous occasions.

Coffee is social drink. In most countries, coffee is a number one social drink. People will prefer coffee to orange juice when they are chatting. Sometimes a business can run well when the coffee served is the best.

Last but not least, coffee can increase our confident. When we have to do something in the evening, drinking coffee can suggest us to stay awake. Don’t belive it? Ask student who like to stay awake in the night studying for tomorrow’s exam.
